  • Inflammation is a natural biological response that helps the body respond to injury, infection, and other forms of harmful stress. In other situations, treating an infection, controlling an autoimmune condition, managing an allergy, or addressing an underlying injury may be necessary. Medicines that reduce inflammation may be used in certain circumstances, but they should be selected according to the underlying condition and individual needs.
