Type IV Secretion System (T4SS) of Helicobacter pylori

Type IV Secretion System (T4SS) of Helicobacter pylori, a syringe-like structure,  is encoded by genes located on the cag pathogenicity island (cagPAI). It is induced upon contact with the host cell and is involved in the delivery of CagA and peptidoglycan to host cells (gastric epithelial cells)
