Methods to Visualize Blood Vessels in Brain

Anti-CD31 staining can be used to visualize blood vessels in different body parts including the brain.

Immunostaining of fixed brain slices using anti-CD31 (PECAM) antibodies is a powerful and easy way to visualize blood vessels in the brain.

This method is used by Watkins et al., 2014  to study vascular co-option and perivascular invasion of glioma cells in the mouse brain.
