Normality

Normality is more relevant than molarity when expressing concentration of acids and bases as it also accounts for concentrations of specific ions.

Normality of a solution can be defined as the number of gram equivalents of the substance (solute) per litre of the solution. For example, 1N NaOH solution contains 1 gram equivalent of NaOH per liter of solution.
