ExpSup: IL6 Induces p21 Transcription in Serum-Starved HepG2 Cell Line

Bienvenu and coworkers showed that stimulation of serum-starved HepG2 cells with IL6 induces p21 expression (Bienvenu et al., 2005). They analyzed p21 expression at RNA (northern blotting) and protein levels (western blotting) and observed high p21 expression in both cases compared to untreated control samples.
