  • Manganese(II) sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula MnSO₄. It commonly appears as a pale pink or light pink crystalline solid, which is typically encountered in its hydrated form, such as manganese(II) sulfate monohydrate (MnSO₄·H₂O) or tetrahydrate (MnSO₄·4H₂O). 
  • This compound is highly soluble in water, forming clear, light pink solutions, which makes it valuable for a variety of applications in agriculture, industry, and chemistry.
  • One of the primary uses of manganese(II) sulfate is as a fertilizer and soil amendment. Manganese is an essential micronutrient for plants, playing a critical role in photosynthesis, enzyme activation, and nitrogen metabolism. Soils deficient in manganese can lead to poor crop yields and physiological disorders such as interveinal chlorosis. Application of manganese sulfate helps correct these deficiencies by providing a readily bioavailable source of manganese ions, enhancing plant growth and productivity.
