Protocol: Cryopreservation of Suspension Cell Culture
To cryopreserve, cells from the suspension culture are harvested by centrifugation and resuspended at the correct cell density in an appropriate freezing medium. The resuspension is aliquoted into cryovials and subjected to slow freezing overnight followed by transfer to either the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen or a -150°C freezer.

Cryopreservation
Cryopreservation (Cryo: icy cold or frost; Preservation: Storage without deterioration) refers to the storage of living material at ultra-low temperatures below -135°C without losing its vitality in a manner that stops biological time and aging.
Nuclear Membrane Rupture
The nuclear membrane acts as a barrier between the cytoplasm and the nucleoplasm. Under certain situations, the nuclear membrane is…
Cell Proliferation
Cell proliferation refers to a process of cell growth and cell division into two daughter cells. Cell proliferation leads to an exponential increase in cell number and tissue size.
